ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
What can I expect from the event?
Light Cycles Kyoto is a series of four immersive multimedia installations, each inviting you to connect with the Kyoto Botanical Garden through light and music, and each celebrating a unique feature of the natural world.
Where is the experience located?
The event takes place at the Kyoto Botanical Gardens, with the main venue being the Conservatory (greenhouse). During opening hours, you can enter through either the main gate or the Kitayama Gate.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
While the experience itself is held indoors, please note that the box office, reception area and route to the experience are located outdoors.
How long does the experience last?
The path through the Conservatory is 413 meters or a quarter-mile long. The experience typically takes up to 45 minutes, but there is no time limit.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
You will be able to purchase food and beverage at this event; however, please note that there won't be gluten-free or vegan options.
Is there parking available?
There will be parking available. However, as parking is very limited, we strongly recommend using public transportation. Parking fees are 1,000 yen for standard-sized cars and 3,000 yen for tourist buses. Vehicle entry into the parking area will begin approximately 20 minutes prior to the show start time. We cannot be held responsible for any accidents, theft, or other incidents that may occur in the parking area.
Will there be strobe lights?
The event includes various lighting effects, some of which may flash or be strobe-like.
Are there sound considerations for people with sensory sensitivities?
We want everyone to enjoy this experience. However, some sections include speakers with loud sounds, which may be overwhelming for individuals with sensory sensitivities, including those with autism. If this applies to you, we recommend bringing ear protection or noise-reducing accessories.
Will there be additional sessions?
Future additional dates are undecided. Please check the official website regularly.
Is there Virtual Reality?
This experience does not have virtual reality.
Is there a dress code?
There's no defined dress code for this experience; a casual look will be fine.
Will there be merchandise for sale?
Yes! There will be merchandise for sale at the shop.

Should I contact anyone if I expect to arrive later than my reserved time?
There is no need. If you arrive later than expected, please inform the staff at the entrance. (Last Entry: 20:30)
Can I receive a receipt?
If you would like a receipt for your ticket purchase, please visit the on-site ticket counter (open from the event start time until 8:30 PM) and present your purchase screen.
If you would like a parking receipt, please speak directly with the parking staff. Please note that neither receipt is compliant with the Japanese qualified invoice (invoice system).
ABOUT TICKETS
Where can I get tickets?
Can I purchase tickets at the door?
We will have a box office on site. However, tickets may be sold out by the time you arrive at the event, so we highly recommend you book your tickets in advance in order to guarantee your spot. You can purchase tickets in the Fever App (available on
Google Play and the Apple App Store) or on the
Fever website.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket in the Fever App. Please contact us if you need additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
Do I need to print my ticket?
You can find your ticket in the "Tickets" section of the Fever app (you can download it from the
Apple App Store or
Google Play). Please remember to log in with the same login method used to make the purchase. You will also find your QR code in your purchase confirmation email. We recommend taking a screenshot of the QR code. If you do not have a smartphone, please bring a printed copy of your ticket or QR code. If you have a paper ticket, don't forget to bring it.
I can't find my ticket. What should I do?
You can view your ticket in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from
Google Play and the
Apple App Store. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please
contact us.
Can I change the date of my ticket? Are refunds allowed?
This experience allows date changes up to 48 hours in advance. To check if a ticket is eligible for a date change, go to the "Tickets" section of the Fever App. If changes are enabled, the "Change date and/or time" button will appear. Follow the steps indicated in the link to change the date and/or time of the ticket. If you are unsure on how to proceed, please
contact us and include the ticket ID associated with your purchase. No refunds are permitted under any circumstances. For more information, you can consult our

Can I make a group booking?

Do you offer press passes?
Are multiple-use passes available?
Yes, a set of 10 tickets is available for purchase at the on-site ticket counter. (Please note that quantities are limited.)

Regarding Price Changes
Thank you for your interest in this event.
As part of our continued efforts to improve service standards and operations, we are introducing a revision in prices from 30 September 2025 (Tuesday).
Revised Prices (per person):
- Adult (High School and above)
- Weekday: ¥2,300~
- Weekend and Public Holiday: ¥2,700~
- Children (Elementary and Middle School)
- Weekday: ¥1,100~
- Weekend and Public Holiday: ¥1,400~
- Student
- Weekday: ¥1,800~
- Weekend and Public Holiday: ¥2,200~
- Disability Certificate Holders
- Weekday: ¥1,100~

- Group (3 or more adults)

As part of the price revision, we have introduced a new Group ticket if you come in a group of 3 or more adults.
For adult tickets, weekday admission is ¥200 cheaper per person compared to prices prior to 30 September 2025. We encourage you to take advantage of this offer with family and friends!
Note:
- Tickets purchased up till 29 September 2025 will remain at the
pre-revision prices.
- Revised prices will apply to all tickets purchased/reserved on
or after 30 September 2025.
- From 30 September 2025, same-day tickets purchased at the box
office will also reflect the revised prices
- Group rates apply to adults only and are charged on a per-pax
basis.

ABOUT EVENT ACCESS
Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session?
It is recommended that you arrive at the time stated on your ticket, but you can arrive within the next 30 minutes. For example, if your ticket is for 19:00, you can enter until 19:30. We'll check your ticket at entry, so please have it ready. You may be asked to wait if the venue is crowded. Re-entry is not permitted. If you are late, consult the staff at the entrance gate. We can only accommodate you in a later time slot if space is available. Please be aware that you need to wait depending on how busy we are.
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in this event's location, though we do welcome service animals.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes, the event is being held in an accessible venue.
What are the rules inside the venue?
No re-entry is allowed
No eating, drinking or smoking inside the venue
Do not remove anything from the Botanical Gardens (including fallen leaves, acorns, insects, etc.)
Do not enter fenced areas or planted areas or damage plants
No alcohol, sports equipment, toys or pets allowed
No dangerous items (scissors, knives, etc.) or items that may disturb other guests
No running inside the greenhouse
Intoxicated guests will be refused entry
Guests who severely disrupt public order or disturb others may be asked to leave
Children under secondary school age should be supervised by an adult at all times.

We are not responsible for disputes, accidents, or theft between guests

Is there a smoking area?
No. The entire Botanical Gardens is non-smoking.
Do you offer carer tickets for disability certificate holders?
Accessible tickets are available for visitors with a disability ID card and one accompanying person. Each person requires their own ticket for entry. Your disability ID will be checked at the entrance gate, so please enter together with your accompanying person. There are no separate accessible tickets for children. However, if a child holds a disability ID card, one accompanying adult may also purchase an accessible ticket.
Is the experience accessible for deaf/visually impaired people?
The person who is hearing impaired will be able to enjoy this experience as it is mostly visual; however, we do not recommend this event for visually impaired people. This experience is primarily visual, so guests with hearing impairments can still enjoy it. However, we do not recommend this event for guests with visual impairments. We are committed to making all of our experiences more inclusive, and we thank you for your understanding. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore other experiences available in the city.
Will there be strobe lights?
A range of lighting effects were used at the event, including flashing effects and similar to strobe lights.
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition?
This is a walkthrough experience, but if you need a little rest, you will be able to find some seats for you to have a break.
Will restrooms be available on site?
This venue has restrooms, including accessible restrooms—please ask our staff on site for directions.
Can I take photos or record the experience?
Feel free to take photos. Please be considerate of other guests when taking pictures. The following are prohibited: Use of drones, monopods, tripids, selfie sticks, or other photography aids Flash photography Commercial photography or reporting without prior permission Any other actions that may disturb other guests
Is there a Lost & Found?
Lost items will be kept at the venue on the day they are found. From the following day onwards, they are deposited at the nearest Shimogamo Police Station.
Is cloakroom or baggage storage service available?
There's no cloakroom or baggage storage service. A limited number of coin lockers (small: 200 yen, large: 300 yen) are available at both entrance gates. Please avoid bringing large items that might interfere with the experience.
Is there an age requirement?
All ages are welcome to this experience and the space is accessible for prams/strollers. Pre-school children will be allowed in for free.
Will there be an audio guide?
Unfortunately, this experience does not include an audio guide.
